About 26% of users have updated to iOS 14 in the five days since Apple released the official version of iOS 14. It seems that it is spreading at a faster pace than iOS 13 and iOS 12.
iOS14 penetration speed surpasses iOS13 and iOS12
According to research firm Mixpanel, as of September 21, five days after the official release of iOS14, the share of iOS (including iPadOS) by version was 26.37% for iOS14, 66.07% for iOS13, and earlier versions. It was 7.56%.
Compared to iOS 13 having a 20.9% share by version one week after its release and iOS 12 having a 19.14% share in one week after its release, it seems that iOS 14 has made a good start.
However, in the case of iOS13, there was a situation that iPad users could not update until iPadOS 13.1 was released 5 days after iOS13.
The data released by Mixpanel is an independent analysis by the company and is different from the official announcement by Apple.
Every year, Apple publishes a version-specific share one month after the new version of iOS is released.
