AppleCare + Launches Monthly Plans in UK and Germany

Apple has also launched new monthly payment plans for Apple Care + in the UK and Germany.

Monthly payment or lump sum payment can be selected

In the United States, Australia, Canada, Germany, Japan, and the United Kingdom, when you subscribe to AppleCare + for your iPhone, iPad, or Apple Watch, you can choose to pay the warranty fee monthly or in one lump sum.

In these countries and territories, when you subscribe to the AppleCare + plan for your iPhone, iPad, or Apple Watch, you have the option of paying a monthly warranty or a 24-month upfront payment. You can prepay 36 months for Apple Watch Edition and Hermes.

If you pay in one lump sum, you can extend your warranty on a monthly basis after the 24-month or 36-month warranty period has expired. To process your warranty extension, please visit mysupport.apple.com. Alternatively, on your iPhone or iPad, select “Settings”> “General”> “Information”, tap “Apple Care + Warranty Available”, and follow the onscreen instructions.

In Australia, Canada, Germany, the United Kingdom and the United States, you can extend your warranty within 60 days of the end of the original warranty period. In Japan, the warranty can be extended within 30 days from the end of the original warranty period.

In the United States, a monthly payment plan was introduced in September 2019. The monthly plan is renewed monthly until you cancel, and after 24 or 36 months, your warranty will be extended on a monthly basis unless you cancel.

If you pay in one lump sum, you can extend the warranty on a monthly basis after 24 months by changing to a monthly payment plan later. Please note that the monthly fee for Apple Care + varies depending on the device and country.
