iPhone 4 – Full Downgrade From iOS 7.1.2 to iOS 6.1 No SHSH Blobs Required + Proofs

In today’s video, I show you how to downgrade iOS 7.1.2 iPhone 4 to iOS 6.1 without SHSH blobs and without using Tiny Umbrella.
The procedure involves using of the GeekGrade Tethered Downgrade iPSWs provided for free at the link down bellow.

After the downgrade, your carrier will still be working as it was on 7.1.2, so there will be no difference in terms of functionality.
The downgrade is tethered, which means you will use RedSn0w and the BOOT IPSW if you reboot / power off your device (bear that in mind!).

The iTunes version MUST be iTunes 11.0 for this to work. Any newer variant will end up with Error 11.
Also, the device MUST be in PWNED DFU Mode (use iReb) (detailed in the video). The DFU Mode on iPhone is a state in which the iPhone shows nothing but a black screen. It is used to flash IPSWs in emergency mode.

Huge shout-outs for Andrea Bentivegna for building the GeekGrade files!
