Downgrading from MacOS Big Sur to Catalina the Easy Way



DISCLAIMER: The previous method with the beta would allow a backup if it was a time machine backup, but now you can’t get any data back unless you have an iCloud backup with all your files.

In this video, I am teaching you how to downgrade from MacOS Big Sur to MacOS Catalina the easy way.

The latest beta in all honesty is glitchy and due to that it may be affecting your day to day usage of your Mac.

Details before installation:

1) Make sure that your USB/External Hard drive is a minimum of 12GB.

2) If you would like to keep your data, backup your storage via Time Machine or another SSD.

Path for Terminal:
sudo /Applications/Install macOS Catalina.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia –volume /Volumes/MyVolume

Things to keep in mind:

1) Make sure to connect to your Wi-Fi after booting into the start up disk menu.

2) The download times can vary based on your internet speed.
