Yesterday apple launched the the new ipad mini. THe new ipad mini. for 2021 has the A15 bionic making it one of the most powerful tablets you can current;y buy. Along with the a15 bionic chip the new ipad mini has USB-C. THis means the new ipad mini joins the ipad air as Apple tablets that have left lightning and gone to the USB-C World. This means that the new ipad mini can utilize all the same great usb-c and thunderbolt accessoreis as the ipad pro. Unfortunately for the new ipad mini the new ipad mini for 2021 still can’t replace a coimputer for most people. The new ipad mini 2021 with USB c is still left with the inability to be fully used on an external monitor even though the ipad mini is incredibly powerful.
On the completely other side of the world xiaomi just launched the mi pad 5 and mipad 5 pro. The xiaomi mi pad 5 and mi pad 5 pro are xiaomi’s attempt at entering the productivity centered tablet market. The mipad 5 and mipad 5 pro have an optional keyboard and pen support. Both the mipad 5 and mipad 5 pro have really capable SOCS but the mipad 5 and mipad 5 pro are both still stuck with USB 2.0 and neither of the tablets from xiaomi can output video through the USB port. That means that as much as xiaomi wants to give you a productivity tool with the mipad 5 and mipad 5 pro both devices are still stranded with using their built in native displays.
