Today we will be installing macOS 12 Monterey on VMware Workstation and VMware ESXI. I have seen a lot of videos that show you how to install it but will not give the install files or show you that upon reboot the system locks up. I have seen them give you wrong information. Well I’m here to change that. My video shows you from start to finish as well as the REBOOT and how to get Vmware Tools installed and working.
Disclaimer: Networking does not work. It does not work because there is no working patch for it. This video is for people who need to test out apps or development and should not be used until the final release comes out.

To prevent the VM getting stuck on a black login screen you will need to enable auto-login BEFORE you reboot otherwise you will need to reinstall.
TO FIX YOUR NETWORKING ISSUES YOU NEED TO CHANGE A LINE IN YOUR VMX FILE
Change — ethernet0.virtualDev = “e1001e”
To — ethernet0.virtualDev = “vmxnet3”
