Apple debuted the iPhone and iPad; Jobs died of pancreatic cancer and was replaced as CEO by Tim Cook, and the Cupertino tech behemoth became the first trillion-dollar firm in the United States. Apple’s entire cash hoard rose exponentially as revenue grew and the corporation began moving money to overseas companies as part of its tax-minimization strategy. However, the money was essentially locked up since firms could only hold cash outside the United States if the gains were declared as indefinitely reinvested abroad, which allowed multinational corporations to delay paying taxes on those profits. Perhaps Taxes are a headache to you guys but it’s one of your national duties. If they have a source of income, every human person is required to pay taxes to the government of the nation in which they live.
