This is a comparison between the two main methods for running Windows games on M1 Mac (RIP Boot Camp). Parallels which is a virtual machine capable of running Windows 10 and 11 ARM as well as 64-bit game emulation. CrossOver is a compatibility layer that utilises Wine and provides a user interface and custom configurations for specific games. Both methods have their advantages and disadvantages, and the choice between them mostly depends on which exact game you’d like to run on your M1 Mac.
