GTA V on Apple M1 SoC without Parallels Desktop | Wine DXVK

I already managed to install and play GTA V on macOS using Wine but only on intel CPUs. Wine on M1 had a rough start with many graphical glitches and bugs in some games. So i had to wait until a new version of Unofficial Wineskin and DXVK was released and holy sh*t! It works!

..well, with some tweaking of course. The game won’t run without any modifications. The main problem is the new Rockstar Games Launcher, which doesn’t work with Wine at all. The only way to get GTA V running without its Launcher dependency is to crack the executable. I’ve used the DVD version to install this game and upgraded it to patch 1.36 which has a working crack that completely removes the Social Club integration. I’m not a big fan of cracking games but that’s the only way to get it to work.

Remember, this game doesn’t run natively on this Mac. Wine translates all the Windows stuff to Mac and Metal graphics first and then macOS needs to translate ALL OF IT again to M1 ARM and it runs just fine.
