The easiest by far is the Mac Pro RAM upgrade – I used Nemix RAM to max out the Mac Pro. I have the 16-core processor, which means that I can use up to 768GB of RAM. Faster processors can support up to 1.5TB of RAM in the Mac Pro, which is absolutely amazing. Mac Pro RAM: https://geni.us/rammacpro
Then there’s the OWC Accelsior 4M2 – this is a PCIe SSD RAID card, giving me super-fast 8TB of flash storage. This is what I store all of my active video editing projects on. Get the Accelsior J2i here: https://geni.us/accelsior4m2
The Promise Pegasus R4i is up next – this gives me a large amount of mass storage inside the Mac Pro itself. I use it in a RAID 5 configuration, which gives me 24TB of usable storage, while the remaining 8TB is used for data protection. Get the Pegasus R4i here: https://geni.us/pegasusr4i
The Promise Pegasus J2i is up next, and this allows me to attach a pair of SATA drives to the Mac Pro. SATA isn’t the fastest connection out there, but it works totally fine for backups! I use this for my hourly Time Machine backups of my Mac Pro 4TB SSD. Get it here: https://geni.us/pegasusj2i
