There are a lot of cases out there for the iPhone, however the cases that offer protection are often very bulky and heavy. Our new product Rhino Shield Crash Guard is about to change that. Rhino Shield Crash Guard is unique, as it offers extreme protection without any bulk.
The Crash Guard bumper features a minimal design approach. Our goal is to cover up as little of your device as possible while adding maximum protection. Our Crash Guard bumper- style case allows for as much exposure of your device and Apple’s original design as possible. The Crash Guard bumper has a matte finish, which is not only fashionable, but also serves as a means of enhancing your grip on your device. The finish also serves to make the bumper more durable as it is harder to scratch; unlike cases and bumpers with a glossy/ candy shell finish, which scratch very easily.
The bumper uses hard and soft polymer construction to perfectly fit and wrap your iPhone. The Rhino Shield Crash Guard bumper will not slide around like many silicone, TPU or some snap-on cases. We also pay special attention to ensure all the buttons; power, volume, etc. are fully accessible, and all the ports have sufficient openings so they are easily accessible and compatible with headphones; including Beats by Dr. Dre and third-party charging accessories.
The Rhino Shield Crash Guard is packed with new technologies. There are two levels of innovation in our bumper case design. The most important is the Egg Drop material, which provides more than 90% of its impact absorbing capability.
The product, while similar in design to current bumpers, is much stronger than anything ever created in the space. Based upon our R&D in developing the polymer formulation used in our Rhino Shield impact resistant screen protectors, we created a new polymer blend, capable of absorbing tremendous impact without adding any bulk.
The bumper used with our screen protector is fully capable of providing at least the same level of impact protection as many leading brands or any other brick-like case product, and our product adds almost ZERO bulk. The polymer used in the manufacture of our bumper differentiates it from everything else currently on the market.Anybody can wrap a phone in a brick to protect it from being damaged. We think the real skill is in developing materials fully capable of providing the highest levels of protection while shrinking that protection down to the form factor of the device.
We push the impact protection boundary even further by utilizing an innovation in structure, the “Honeycomb Structure” within the inner lining of the bumper. This will add an additional 10%-15% of overall impact absorbency to that of just the materials alone. This property has been known to have an excellent stiffness-to-weight ratio, which helps to improve the overall effectiveness of the material by spreading the area of impact across a larger physical area, in effect reducing the force at any given point; the actual point of impact.
As many of us know, the iPhone 6 Plus has proven bendable through normal usage. The Rhino Shield Crash Guard offers protection against bending for your iPhone. When properly installed (and the install isn’t rocket science, the Crash Guard bumper can protect your device against more than 225 pounds (or close to 100Kg) of pressure.
You will see in our video a demonstration of an iPhone protected with our bumper that is run over by a car, which survives the impact without any damage.
The bumper is also screen protector-friendly. While it will be compatible with most screen protectors on the market, the overall impact protection you see demonstrated in our videos will only be achieved with the use of our Rhino Shield impact resistant screen protector.
Due to the curved edges of the iPhone 6, the fitting of your Rhino Shield screen protector is manufactured to cover the flat, forward facing portion of the screen, but it will not wrap around the curved edge. The shield is manufactured to cover the entire display area of the device. Our bumper is designed to cover the curved edge and leave no area of the screen exposed.
