120Hz refresh rate AMOLED, 64MP dual camera, slim body ZenFone 8 specs suspected

Last week, foreign media revealed that Asustek will launch two ZenFone 8 series phones. In addition to the Flip version that inherits the previous generation of electric flip lenses, there is also the ZenFone 8 that has taken the thin body route and was previously called the mini version. Earlier, there were detailed specifications of the device that broke the news, including a 120Hz refresh rate screen, and a 64-megapixel dual camera module.

Foreign media quoted the source on Twitter. It was mistaken that the mini version of ZenFone 8 will be equipped with a 5.9-inch FHD+ resolution AMOLED screen using Samsung’s E4 material OLED panel. It has a 120Hz screen refresh rate. At the same time, the outer panel will use an anti- Gorilla Glass Victus tempered glass with better scratch resistance and impact resistance; compared to ZenFone 7, which still uses the fingerprint module on the back, this time ZenFone 8 will use screen fingerprint recognition.

With a body size of 148 x 68.5 x 8.9mm and a weight of only 169g, the ZenFone 8 is equipped with Snapdragon 888 5G SoC. The top configuration will provide up to 16GB RAM, 256GB UFS 3.1 storage, 4,000mAh battery and support 30W fast charging. For the photography function, the mobile phone will use a 64-megapixel primary lens equipped with IMX686 photosensitive elements, a dual camera module composed of a 12-megapixel wide-angle/macro lens, and three sets of microphones and corresponding OZO sound effects. The whistleblower also mentioned that in addition to having dual speakers, ZenFone also added a 3.5mm headphone terminal corresponding to Hi-Res Audio.
