A few days ago, German camera manufacturer Leica (Leica) released its first smartphone Leitz Phone 1 in Japan, priced at 187,920 yen. It will be officially launched in July and will be sold exclusively by SoftBank.

In terms of appearance, Leitz Phone 1 is very similar to the Aquos R6 launched by Leica and Sharp not long ago, with the classic Leica “Cola logo” on the back, and the lens module is similar to the “Star Ring” design of Huawei Mate 40.
It is worth mentioning that, in order to provide better protection for the lens, Leica even equipped the Leitz Phone 1 with a magnetic metal lens cover, which can be easily covered when not taking pictures.
From the front, Leica’s mobile phone uses a curved screen design, a central punching solution, the top and bottom of the phone are flat design, and the silver metal middle frame enhances the phone’s texture.
Of course, since it is the first from Leica, its main focus is naturally the imaging aspect.
Leitz Phone 1 is only equipped with a 1 inch outsole 20.2 million pixel main camera, supporting 19mm super wide-angle, 24mm wide-angle and 152mm telephoto. In addition, the back of the phone is equipped with a depth-of-field lens with a front lens parameter of 12.6 million pixels.
It is understood that the main camera lens of the mobile phone is manufactured by Leica, the model is SUMMICRON F/1.9 19mm ASPH. The lens contains 7 lenses, including aspherical lenses.
In terms of specifications, Leitz Phone 1 is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor and has 12GB+256GB storage. It is equipped with a Sharp 6.6-inch Pro IGZO OLED display with a resolution of 2730×1260, supports 1 billion color display, and uses the fingerprint unlocking scheme under the ultrasonic screen.
