SpaceX CEO Elon Musk announced 65k active user terminals of Starlink Broadband Satellite Internet Provider. Elon expects approximately 500k users of Starlink next year. Currently Starlink network consists of 1500 satellites on low Earth’s orbit. Another step for Starlink is Arctic Regions Availability. Right now $500 is the cost of Starlink terminal. Month subscription for Satellite internet is $100. After unpacking of the terminal you will be connected to the Internet in less than 5 minutes. Latency is 20 ms, which is almost similar to standard 5G connectivity. Starlink also has ambitions with SpaceX’s Moon Landing Mission in the near future to provide internet to Moon Base Alpha and to Mars Base in far future.
Starship also got updated. Propellant cost for Starship rocket will be approximately the same as for Falcon 9 because of replacing Helium with Metane. Starship and Superheavy booster will be orbital capable in next several months. First Orbital launch of Starship Superheavy will happen next month or so.
