Hands-on with the new Tips app for Windows 11!



With the new build released to the Dev channel, Microsoft is also announcing a refreshed Tips app for Windows 11 with plenty of UI changes and the ability to serve “100+” tips for users. Tips will be available across the OS showing off new capabilities and features added, such as widgets, the Start menu and more!

A refreshed Tips app for Windows 11 reflects the new look and feel of Windows 11. The app features UI changes such as the acrylic material, plus additional UX updates. Plus, there 100+ new tips to help you get started on Windows 11 and learn new things — discover keyboard shortcuts, find ways to optimize your PC, dive into productivity tips for Office, power up your gaming on Windows, and much more! We’re able to fine-tune and add new tips at anytime as we hear feedback from you.

You’ll notice tips appear throughout Windows 11 to help you discover new things as you go! You’ll find tips in 36 languages—tips around the globe! Check out the new Tips widget on the widgets board, tips as First Run Experiences, and tips for specific experiences within Windows 11.

Please note that the refreshed Tips app is currently ONLY available for Windows Insiders in the Dev channel!

This new build also fixes some bugs affecting the Start Menu, Search, and the Settings app, but there’s still a long list of known issues as well, including the bug causing Taskbar icons to appear cut off. Anyway, you can find the full list of changes, bug fixes, and known issues below:
