The iPhone 13 Pro that I just started isn’t quite complete yet! Apple today (10/7) released iOS 15.1 developer test version 3, unlocking 2 major camera functions, and the iPhone 13 Pro’s full camera capabilities will be fully utilized when it is introduced to all users in the future.

Foreign media “9to5mac” reported that in the latest iOS 15.1 developer version, Apple provides two settings. The first is to open the ProRes format that can shoot lossless videos, which is the same as the previous iPhone 12 Pro ProRaw, which will give the film greater post-production tolerance. It is easy to use for color mixing and cutting film.

According to the test, ProRes needs to be manually opened in the “format” in the camera, and will consume a lot of storage space. According to Apple’s official warning, the HD quality of 10bit HDR ProRes video per minute is 1.7GB, and if it is 4K, it is as high as 6GB. Therefore, Apple IPhone 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max with a limit of 128GB can only use ProRes to shoot 1080p, and only 256GB or more support 4K.

In addition, Apple has also added an “automatic macro” setting option. Users can choose whether to let the iPhone determine whether to activate the macro function, so as to avoid the system switching to ultra-wide angle during shooting.

iOS 15.1 Beta will also carry out bug fixes at the same time, and will push the official version to all iPhone users in the near future.
