iOS is deified! After using Android and iPhone: I found that Apple is really not that fragrant

The cause of the matter has to start with a post.

Recently, while strolling around in Ku’an, Super World accidentally swiped a post saying “Android users want to change to Apple.” It lists a bunch of iOS’s shortcomings and advantages. It’s just a sentence to my heart!

As a dual-holding party for Apple and Android phones, I am actually quite satisfied with the smooth and worry-free experience of using iPhone in most cases.

However, iOS is sometimes really unbearable in some places. . .

Don’t vomit, I’m here today, Shichao simply tells you all the points I encountered while using the iPhone that made me uncomfortable, so that you can have a reference when you change the phone in the future~

Before officially starting, let me make a statement: The following content is purely based on my personal subjective feelings, and I say it for everyone to discuss together. They only represent the parts that I find difficult to use, and do not represent everyone.

If you do not agree or have anything to add, please leave a message in the comment area.

So don’t talk nonsense, let’s start now.

Let me talk about an area where iOS is recognized as difficult to use.

How “mysterious” the left side sliding return gesture of iOS is. I think the friends who have used the left and right return gestures on Android should have a deep understanding of this. Many bloggers have posted microblogs or videos before me. :

To put it simply, the sliding return of iOS is no longer a question of whether it is easy to use, but you never know when this gesture can be used and when it cannot be used. In some interfaces, you can use the sliding return and others cannot.

For example, in the search interface of many apps, you want to habitually use the side swipe gesture to return to the previous interface. You can only click the return button in the upper left or upper right corner of the screen.

And the return gestures on the left and right sides of Android are global, which means that no matter what interface the phone is in, you only need to swipe your finger in the left or right of the screen to return, which is convenient and efficient:

iOS sliding back is one of the high-frequency operations on the iPhone. It is hard to believe that Guoguo can make it so messy. The sense of fragmentation is so strong that I am not used to it until now. . .

Then there is its crippled file management function.

The file app that comes with iOS, due to the existence of the sandbox mechanism, the file management function it provides and the file management we have come into contact with on Windows and Andriod can be said to be basically two concepts.

iOS does not allow users to directly access files related to the App. Its file management is not based on folders, but on applications.

This leads me to want to move a certain file in the App to another App is very cumbersome, and you can often only move in the App specified by it:

Sometimes, let alone moving files, you may not even see the shadow of the file. . .

It’s much more convenient if you switch to Android. I can find movies downloaded by Thunder or music downloaded by NetEase Cloud directly in the file management. Finding these files and playing them in other apps is a matter of minutes:

I think Apple can use this kind of application-based file management for the iPhone. After all, this function is not just needed for many people.

But it is still using this kind of closed file management on the iPad, which is a bit speechless. You said that the entire macOS file management of the iPad Pro that has used the Type-C port is not good?

Files can be copied and opened and edited at will among various apps by just inserting a USB flash drive. The productivity of iPad will increase 100% on the spot, okay!

Next comes the seemingly localization of iOS.

The iOS native calendar, alarm clock, text messages, photos, memos and other App localizations have not been done well. This is something that many people should have experienced more or less in the process of using iPhone.

Take the calendar as an example. I don’t want to complain about it anymore. It’s really just a calendar that can only be used to see what day is today and what day of the week it is. If you don’t subscribe to other holidays, you basically can’t see it:

The same is true including alarm clocks. When setting the alarm clock, iOS does not provide us with the option of skipping holidays or skipping workdays intelligently. We can only customize which days from Monday to Sunday to ring:

At first, I was curious about why every weekend to work on weekends, the company will pay attention to all people in the company to set the alarm clock for tomorrow, until I switched my phone from Android to iPhone, I found that the original reason is here~

Not to mention SMS. Its information filtering function is almost a decoration. It filters out loneliness every time. Without the help of a third party, it can’t even classify normal SMS, marketing SMS and verification code SMS:

I wonder if it shouldn’t be difficult to classify text messages based on keywords?

As for the photo app, I admit that it works well in most cases.

It’s just that I can’t figure out why Apple doesn’t set a separate “camera” album for it. Now it’s an album. Is it really good to mix the photos taken by the camera with other photos? Every time I look for a photo, I have to look for it for a long time.

And it doesn’t have coding and jigsaw tools in the photo editor, so that every time I need to code or jigsaw photos, I can only operate them through apps such as Meitu Xiuxiu, which is really a bit tossing.

And the cancellation of its memo is really a bit weird.

The entire memo does not have any physical cancellation buttons. If you want to cancel, you can only do it by three-finger swipe or shake the phone. If I didn’t search it, I really don’t know how it was undone like this:

In fact, after I get used to the above, I can at least accept the setting like this, and some third-party software can help us realize it.

But the lack of some humanized features of iOS is really uncomfortable.

For example, it doesn’t support us to keep the specified apps permanently in the background. Before, every time I opened several apps on the iPhone, after a long time, I would encounter a situation where I switched back to one of the apps and needed to be reloaded.

It’s okay for apps like WeChat and QQ to be reloaded. Anyway, the message can still be received after loading.

Once you encounter applications such as Zhihu and Douban that need to be reloaded, half of the articles you read and half of the edited content will be gone. Programs that can be killed will not be killed, and programs that should not be killed will be killed indiscriminately. bother!

And the iPhone screen has been made so big, it even does not support split screen and small windows, only picture-in-picture allows you to watch a video.

You should know that Android can reply to WeChat and read Weibo while waiting for the game to load. It’s not too cool to use TikTok.

I won’t talk about other functions that are standard on Android devices, such as application dual-opening, application lock, call recording, long screenshots, and screen display.

Especially for call recording. Sometimes it might help you recover your losses. I think it’s better to have this function on your mobile phone than not.

It is true that compared to Android, the iPhone’s safe, worry-free and smooth iOS system is indeed its advantage, but when I use it, it does bring me a lot of inconvenience in many places.

Having been a dual party for so many years, I understand anyway: a mobile phone is like a siege. There are always some Apple users who want to switch from Apple to Android, and some Android users also want to switch from Android to Apple.

This is because there has never been a perfect mobile phone in this world, only a mobile phone that suits you. World Super still hopes that Apple and Android manufacturers can listen to users’ opinions and make their own systems better and better.

Thank you for watching!
