Judging from the official long map, Xiaomi has achieved a total of 14 technological breakthroughs in the past year, covering charging, screen, CMOS, lens, processor, heat dissipation, algorithm, and so on.
For example, on January 29 last year, Xiaomi self-developed an air-to-air charging system, which can achieve long-distance 5-watt charging without plugging in wires or bases. In the future, the living room will fully enter the wireless era.
On May 31, the Mi 11 Pro magic revision broke the wired charging record. The 200W wired charging achieved 100% charging of the 4000mAh battery in 8 minutes, and wired charging entered the ten-minute era for the first time.
On December 28, Xiaomi’s first self-developed charging chip, Surging P1, innovatively adopted the difficult “120W single-cell” solution to break through the bottleneck of the industry. Under the thin and light body, it takes into account fast charging and a large 4600mAh battery.
At the Xiaomi Mi 12 conference, Lei Jun said at the press conference that technology is one of the three iron laws that Xiaomi will never change. In the next five years, Xiaomi’s R&D investment will increase to over 100 billion, which will be used for hardcore hard-core efforts. Technology has doubled over the original plan.
Two years ago, Xiaomi announced a five-year R&D plan of 50 billion yuan. In 2021 alone, Xiaomi will invest about 13 billion yuan in research and development, with an annual growth rate of more than 30%.
