Earlier, foreign media had repeated rumors that Samsung wanted to replace the classic S Pen pen-controlled phone Galaxy Note with the flagship Galaxy Z Fold series with a foldable screen, and the Note 20 as the final series. However, more than one source made corrections earlier, and the factory will still launch a new generation of Note series smartphones in September next year.
The whistleblower cozyplanes mentioned on its Twitter account that after “Fact Check”, it was confirmed that a new Galaxy Note phone will be launched in September next year (2021); and it is rumored that the end of the Galaxy Note series will (at least) be in 2021. The decision is made after the product is released in 2016. And Ross Young, who is also a whistleblower, also replied in the same Twitter discussion thread, saying that he also received the same product news.
The source also mentioned that in 2021, Galaxy Note may be released at the same time as Galaxy Z Fold3, and the focus of the product launch will be on Z Fold3, which is different from the news of Z Fold3, which was rumored to be launched as soon as June. However, considering that if the factory really intends to replace its own Note pen control series with Z Fold3, it seems reasonable to use a press conference for generational alternation to let Z Fold3 take over from the Note series.
