Android 12 Beta 3 Update Finally Adds a Scrolling Screenshot Feature!

The Pixel community has been asking Google to add a scrolling screenshots feature for years and it’s finally made it to the Android 12 Beta 3 Update.

Android OEMs like Samsung have had their own implementations of scrolling screenshots for years now. It’s finally taken Google this long but the feature is now available in the 3rd beta of Android 12.

This update was released yesterday and comes with a number of new changes and stability improvements.

But the flagship feature of the update has to be scrolling screenshots. Google details this in their official blog post (link below) and explains why it may not work in all applications right now.

However, Google has said they are just now introducing a new API for the feature as well for app developers to implement the feature themselves.

Sadly, it is not working in Chrome (at least not the stable build right now) but I suspect this will change in the near future (possibly the next Chrome update).
