How to remove the quick links from the new Chrome OS start menu / Chrome OS app launcher menu

If you’ve been watching my videos you would have come across one a couple of months ago where I showed you how to enable the new Chrome OS start menu.

The new Chrome OS app launcher menu, which is yet to be released as standard is enabled by using a Chrome OS flag. Chrome OS flags are easy to enable and the best thing is you don’t need to leave the stable channel.

One thing you may have noticed is that you get quick links, which are also referred to as continue where you left off links. These links are to help with productivity so you can easily find the files you’ve been working on most recently.

If you’re anything like me you may have decided you don’t like the look of these links. They don’t look that great as far as I’m concerned and take away the clean look from the new Chrome OS app launcher menu.

The good news is you can now remove these links by adjusting the Chrome OS flag. This is great to see because it means the Chrome OS team are hopefully looking at giving you the option to have or remove the links when the menu is eventually released as standard.

If you would like to remove the quick links from the new Chrome OS start menu. Then this video will show you how to do this.
