NASA selected SpaceX among its competitors as there are more chances to fulfill the mission; also, it will be cheap as SpaceX already had a plan for space exploration and Mars colonization. But the competitors are not taking it easy. Maybe if Blue Origin had launched at least one orbital-class rocket to this point, it might have been a different story. For a company older than SpaceX, they have yet to launch a single orbital-class rocket, let alone re-use it. But recently, Blue Origin revealed the new desperate attempt to stop SpaceX.
