With the 2021 Tesla Model Y, the windows on the front of the car transitioned to dual pane windows to help with sound insulation. Although this had a big impact on road noise, there is still room for better sound proofing in the car.
In our last Tesla Model Y, one of the things we did early on was to install a door seal kit that added sound insulation. I was pretty well pleased with the kit after the year we had it.
Unfortunately that kit seems to no longer be available, so I found a new kit that I am happy to try. This new kit is high quality and comes with 3M adhesive. The only down side is it has 2 less seals per side than the last kit.
Overall the sound insulation in the Model Y is noticeable and I am happy to have this on the new Model Y like we did on the last Model Y.
