The Xiaomi folding screen flagship MIX FOLD 2, which is expected to be presented at Lei Jun’s annual speech on Thursday (August 11), has been officially launched earlier.
In the official Weibo account of Xiaomi’s “Xiaomi Mobile”, the leading promotional video of MIX FOLD 2 was uploaded earlier. The promotional article describes the phone as an “innovative foldable flagship”. In the video, you can see that the device still maintains an inward-folding screen design, and when the device is unfolded, the body is only slightly thicker than the Type-C port, and the craftsmanship is highly anticipated.
If the promotional video correctly shows the true scale of the device, it can be expected that the actual thickness of the MIX FOLD 2 will be significantly improved compared to the 7.62mm size of the previous MIX FOLD, and it is not difficult to imagine that Xiaomi will add a more sophisticated hinge folding technology.
Based on the existing information, the MIX FOLD 2 will be equipped with a Snapdragon 8+ chipset, and both the main and secondary screens will support a 120Hz frame refresh rate. The folding screen will use Samsung Eco² OLED, which consumes 25% lower power than ordinary panels, while the external screen will be used. The very popular E5 material AMOLED screen, and the more comfortable 21:9 aspect ratio 2,520 x 1,080 pixel screen.
