According to Haaretz, Apple Pay will be introduced in Israel on May 5th.
It’s been about a year since Apple Pay was first rumored to be available in Israel, but the pandemic of the new coronavirus infection (COVID-19) is believed to have delayed it.
The iPhone ownership rate in Israel is said to be 20% to 30%, and it is expected that sufficient profits will be obtained.
Apple Pay just launched in South Africa at the end of March. Apple Pay support is also advancing in Toronto, Canada and the San Francisco Bay Area, and coverage continues to expand.
