New kernel vulnerability exposure: unc0ver previews iOS 13.5 jailbreak program released soon

Last year checkm8 announced the jailbreak program that can be implemented on almost all iOS devices, which brought great surprises to Apple mobile device users. Now, the unc0ver team has also announced a brand new tool, which is expected to provide a jailbreak solution for iOS 13.5 devices including iPhone 11, iPhone SE 2, and 2020 iPad Pro. It is reported that the newly announced unc0ver 5.0 tool was developed based on the kernel vulnerability discovered by Pwn20wnd.

New kernel vulnerability exposure: unc0ver previews iOS 13.5 jailbreak program released soon

In order to bypass the software restrictions imposed on iOS, Apple and crackers have never stopped the jailbreak war. Although there are risks, jailbreaking can indeed bring greater freedom, such as installing applications other than the App Store, or even modifying the iOS system itself.

Another jailbreaking tool called Checkra1n, currently developed based on the checkm8 vulnerability, can only crack iOS devices that use the A11 Bionic chip (such as iPhone 8 and iPhone X), and can only run on macOS.

The unc0ver team did not disclose the release date of the new jailbreak tool, but the official website page has shown “coming soon.” It is worth mentioning that unc0ver supports running on macOS, Windows and Liunx platforms.
