How to apply
I actually applied for a new contract because I wanted to use LINEMO on a sub machine. The main procedure is as follows.
From the top page to the application page
Click the “Apply Now” button located on the top page of LINEMO to move to the application page.
eSIM is flooded with inquiries
Regarding eSIM that can be used on iPhone 12 etc., it is well known that “inquiries are flooding and it takes time to respond”, and LINEMO has called for consideration of applying with a SIM card.
Also, it seems that the contract examination procedure takes longer than usual.
New contract with SIM card
Since my sub-machine does not support eSIM, I chose to sign up with a new phone number and use a new SIM card this time.
If you select “Use your current phone number as it is”, you will be asked which carrier you are currently using, and if you are using SoftBank, etc., you will be warned that you will not be able to use carrier mail. ..
Documents required for application
The following three points are required to apply for LINEMO.
- Identity verification documents such as driver’s license
- Terminal with SIM unlocked
- Credit card with the same name as the contractor
If the address of the identity verification document is not the latest, or if the contractor is 18 or 19 years old, additional documents will be required.
Also, some debit cards are accepted.
After preparing the necessary documents and checking the flow up to the start of use, click “Proceed to service selection” at the bottom of the screen.
Option selection
On the next page, you will see rate plans and calling options. The plan is only “Smartphone Plan (20GB)”.
Immediately after moving to the page, the “Call semi-flat rate”, which is currently free for one year in the campaign, is checked for the call option.
Enter applicant information
The application information that needs to be entered is as follows.

You can also apply for a phone number using the phone number you plan to change.

If you have entered various items, proceed to upload the identity verification documents. If there is a mistake in the input, an error message will be displayed and you will not be able to move to the next page.
Upload identity verification documents
Take a photo of your driver’s license or other identity verification documents or upload it from a folder on your device.
If you need to submit supplementary materials due to address changes, etc., add items and upload.

After uploading the identity verification documents, move to the confirmation screen and check that the application details are correct.
Explanation of important matters
Check the check boxes of each item after confirming the explanations and precautions regarding the following important items.

If you check all the check boxes, you will be able to click the application confirmation button.
Application completed
Finally, you will be taken to the application completion screen where the order number will be displayed.
Please save the order number as a screenshot etc. in case the e-mail address is incorrect.
In the case of the author, immediately after the application was completed, I received a confirmation email containing the order number and application details.
In the future, it will be necessary to receive the SIM card after confirmation by LINEMO and perform the initial settings on the terminal.
