iOS/iPadOS 15 will be released later this year, so which devices can be upgraded to the new system? Recently, foreign media Wccftech has compiled a list of devices that can be upgraded to iOS/iPadOS 15, and said that Apple may give up support for some old devices.
At present, Apple has stopped signing the iOS/iPadOS 14.5 system, which means that devices that have been upgraded to iOS/iPadOS 14.5.1 will no longer be able to downgrade. Fans will also set their sights on the WWDC Developer Conference to be held next month, and the beta version will be released immediately after the opening speech.
In addition to the usual feature additions, foreign media Wccftech expects that Apple will also make some changes in compatibility. In iOS/iPadOS 14, Apple announced that existing devices running iOS/iPadOS 13 can be upgraded to the new version.
When upgrading iOS/iPadOS 15, Apple may give up support for the old iPhone and iPad. In other words, on the iPhone side, Apple may abandon iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus and iPhone SE (first generation); on the iPad side, it may abandon support for the iPad mini 4 and iPad Air 2.
