Apple is studying how to enhance sports live broadcasts, viewers can choose their own viewing angle, and list the elements they want to get more information. You may watch basketball games to watch sports, watch games, or just to cheer on local teams, but Apple thinks you might want more. If you find that a player’s shoes are good, Apple thinks you should be able to learn more, and a new Apple patent application will help you.
U.S. Patent Application No. 20200175275, an Apple patent titled “Methods, Devices, and Systems for Generating Item Associations,” believes that when a user watches a basketball game on TV, the user may feel the shoes worn by a basketball player Interest, Apple’s technology can detect this interest, and display the details of this shoe on the second screen.
Apple said that when users watch video streams that contain items, users cannot collect further information or opinions about these items without using auxiliary devices. Users must use a separate device to obtain information about specific shoes that users see on TV . Therefore, Apple’s patent can display the video you are watching on one screen, or on the AR headset, and on another screen, or another part of the headset, there will be auxiliary information. In addition to the specific element details, the system also needs a way for users to speak the elements they want to focus on. An obvious possibility is that users may only need to click on the main touch screen display.
However, Apple also proposed that users should be able to interact through a combination of SR and AR. Therefore, the real shoes worn by the players in the game can be displayed as an AR item, and the audience may touch, rotate and check. However, it is more realistic that the shoe can be displayed in a more familiar picture-in-picture manner.
