Twenty years ago, on May 19, 2001, the world’s first two Apple Stores opened. US media 9to5Mac has released augmented reality (AR) content that faithfully reproduces the interior of the store at that time.
The world’s first Apple Store that opened 20 years ago
The world’s first Apple Store opened on May 19, 2001 in McLean, Virginia, and Glendale, near Los Angeles, California.
You can enjoy the inside of the Apple Tysons Corner proudly guided by Steve Jobs on your iPhone or iPad with AR content that thoroughly reproduces the details based on the images of the time.
For AR content, open the 9to5Mac article in Safari on your iPhone or iPad and press the “Launch AR Experience” button to download a file (about 17MB) called “AppleTysonsCorner.usdz”.
When you open the downloaded file, Apple Tysons Corner will appear on the screen. The content is optimized for A12 and later processors.

Apple Tysons Corner, which is still open
Apple Tysons Corner is still open 20 years after it opened.
Twitter users are posting a video that combines AR images in the current Apple Tysons Corner, which is open while taking measures against infectious diseases.
Using this AR object over the real Tyson’s corner creates the most trippy portal back in time. pic.twitter.com/eovyhhXCiJ
