The Indian government has banned 59 apps, including TikTok, WeChat, and Weibo, as Chinese-made apps pose a security threat to the country.

Block TikTok over 600 million downloads in India

According to India Today’s local media India Today, India’s Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology has determined that apps made in China are acting to threaten India’s sovereignty, unity, security and public order. He has decided to block the application.

Other apps that will be blocked in India include TikTok, a video sharing app that has reached 611 million downloads in India.
