Windows Latest has announced that Windows 11 will feature rounded windows and colorful icons based on the Fluent design for all of Office, Settings, Paint, Notepad, and Explorer.
Redesigned Office based on Fluent design
At a Windows 11 developer event, Microsoft unveiled a new design for Office that has been internally tested over the last few months.
In Office with the Fluent design, the corners of the window are rounded, and it seems that the following changes will be made.
- Redesigned Office to be consistent with Windows 11
- Fluent color for all buttons, toggles and other elements
- Redesigned buttons such as “Edit”, “Save”, “Undo / Redo”, and “Share”
- Introducing a universal search bar with a rounded, clean design
In Windows 11, Fluent design will be introduced not only in Office but also in “Settings” and “Explorer”.
“Notepad” and “Paint” also support Fluent design
The standard apps “Notepad” and “Paint” will also be redesigned to match the Fluent design.
The toolbar at the top of the Paint and Notepad windows has been redesigned to show all the options previously used to work with canvases and text editors.
It also changes the design of buttons such as cut, copy, share, delete, rename, and properties.
Isn’t the “tab” function introduced in Explorer?
Windows Latest reports that Explorer also introduces the Fluent design and redesigns it, but the “tab” feature is currently missing.
