AirPods Pro spatial audio function
The spatial audio function is unique to AirPods Pro and can be found in the control center after connecting to AirPods Pro. According to the official, the spatial audio function can enjoy the cinematic listening experience anytime and anywhere. Spatial audio with dynamic head tracking can accurately place the surround channels in the right position, even if you turn your head or move the device.
AirPods automatic switching function
This AirPods firmware upgrade also supports automatic device switching, which can be used by both AirPods and AirPods Pro users. It will switch between iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac and Apple Watch, provided that these devices need to use the same iCloud account.
Both new features of this update require iOS 14, iPadOS 14, watchOS 7, tvOS 14, or macOS Big Sur. You can find the AirPods version information in “General”-“About This Phone” of the iPhone, and check the firmware update.
On the eve of Apple’s press conference, AirPods and AirPods Pro were updated, and these two functions only support iOS 14, which may also mean that the official version of iOS 14 will be officially launched at the press conference tomorrow.
