Apple released Safari Technology Preview 130 for developers on August 18, local time.

Safari Technology Preview 130 released

Safari Technology Preview 130 includes bug fixes and performance improvements for Web Inspector, CSS, JavaScript, Media, Web API, IndexedDB.
 
In macOS Big Sur, you need to enable the GPU Process: Media option from Experimental Features in the Development menu to address streaming service issues.
 
The currently released Safari Technology Preview is based on Safari 15 included in macOS Monterey and includes some Safari 15 features. New features such as “Tab Bar” and “Tab Group” have been added to enhance support for web extensions.
 
Note that Live Text allows you to select and manipulate text in images on the web, but requires macOS Monterey Beta and M1 Mac. It also supports Quick Notes, where you can add links and Safari highlights to remember important information and ideas.
 
Other additions include WebGL2 support, new HTML, CSS, and JavaScript features.

Anyone can download without a developer account

The latest version is compatible with both macOS Big Sur and macOS Monterey.
 
Users of older browsers can download the latest version from Software Update in System Preferences. The full release notes for the update can be found on the Safari Technology Preview website.
 
Safari Technology Preview is designed for developers, but it doesn’t require a developer account to download and anyone can download it.
