Apple seems to be planning to add support for Dolby Atmos to the HomePod. This feature will be available in combination with Apple TV 4K and will be supported with a tvOS update.
HomePod mini cannot be combined as a satellite speaker
According to The Verge, Dolby Atmos only supports the HomePod, and there are no plans to support the HomePod mini. The feature is expected to be available in tvOS 14.2, and in addition to Dolby Atmos, 5.1 and 7.1 channel audio output will also be supported, the media reports.
The recently announced HomePod mini does not support the HomeCine function, and Apple does not support pairing of the HomePod mini and HomePod, so it seems that the HomePod mini cannot be used as a satellite speaker in the HomeCine function. ..
