Microsoft announced today that the Word, PowerPoint, and Excel applications on the iPad are being updated, adding touchpad and mouse support in iPadOS.
The cursor will change different shapes according to the content pointed by the user to achieve easy cursor control, smooth navigation and precise adjustment. Microsoft said that for those users who have used Office on a Mac or PC, the touchpad experience will be familiar.
Using a mouse or trackpad with iPad to complete some common tasks, such as highlighting a paragraph of text in Word, selecting a series of cells in Excel, and moving and resizing graphics in PowerPoint, are as simple and intuitive as ever.
