Fake news rekindled by Sean Connery’s letter to Steve Jobs

Apple Steve Jobs

Fake news, a letter from Apple co-founder Steve Jobs who declined an ad appearance request after the death of actor Sean Connery, is regaining attention overseas.

“Letter of Apple’s CM appearance decline” is talked about

One image is a letter sent by Sean Connery, who died recently, known for James Bond of the movie “007” series, to Steve Jobs who requested to appear in Apple’s commercial in 1998. It is spread among the department’s Twitter.

The letter has the following content.

To Steve Jobs

Let’s say it again. Do you understand English? I’m not going to sell my soul to Apple or any other company. I’m not interested in what you mean by “changing the world.” You don’t have what I need or want. You’re a computer salesman, but I’m James Bond!

My career can quickly be ruined if I get a crappy ad. Please don’t contact me again.

Then.

Sean Connery

Mr. Connelly desperate to molt from James Bond

Letters typewritten with a typewriter look real at first glance, but were originally fake news by humor site Scoopertino.

However, in 2011, this letter became a big topic centering on Twitter, and it seems that it has become a topic again in some parts with the recent death of Mr. Connelly.

Mr. Connelly is trying to break away from the image of the role of James Bond, and by the time this letter was written in 1998, he was breaking new ground. Therefore, it is unthinkable to call yourself “James Bond”.

For the same reason, it’s also unrealistic to see the “007” logo in the lower right corner of the image posted by CNET in June 2011, when this letter became a hot topic.

Last but not least, I pray for Sean Connery’s soul.
