Apple released Steve Jobs’ family letters today, ten years after his death

Ten years ago, on October 5, 2011, the day after the iPhone 4S was released, Apple’s co-founder Steve Jobs passed away at the age of 56. On that day, Apple’s official website turned into a black and white page, and left a paragraph:

A visionary and creative genius left Apple forever, and the world also lost an extraordinary character. Those of us who were lucky enough to know and work with Steve have lost a close friend and spiritual mentor. He left a company that only he could create, and his spirit will be the eternal cornerstone of Apple.

And today, also ten years after Steve Jobs’s death, Apple’s official website announced the “Our Forever Steve” video, with Steve’s words and deeds as narration, returning the time to this genius’s glorious period at Apple, and reviewing it for everyone. The moment when the classic products of iMac, iPhone and Macbook Air were born. At the same time, a letter written by Steve Jobs’s family was announced:

Grief and healing, at the same time accompany us through these ten years.
The growing gratitude comforts our lost pain.

Although we each find solace along the way,
But because of the love for Steve, and everything he has taught us,
Guide the direction to a better world, let us finally get together.

Among Steve’s talents, his persuasive temptation has always been like spring and rain.
Let us learn to embrace the beauty of the world,
Be curious about new ideas, foresee future possibilities,
The most important thing is not to forget the original intention and always maintain humility.

As we learn to see things through his eyes,
He also taught us to have our own opinions in everything.
He gave us the wisdom of life and let us make good use of it every day.

One of our greatest comforts,
It’s all the goodness, as if we are closely connected with Steve again.
A densely forested hillside, a beautifully crafted object,
Can not help but remind us of his spirit.
Even in those years of suffering, he never doubted the beauty of life.

No amount of memory is enough to express one-tenth of our longings.
To have a husband and father like him is our happiness in this life.
