On October 5th, Apple pushed the 4A400 firmware update for AirPods 2, AirPods Pro, and AirPods Max three wireless headsets, bringing the Find My function to these headsets.
As an important feature of iOS 15, Find My can use other people’s iPhones to form a network to help users find lost headphones. If the device is within the Bluetooth signal range of the user’s mobile phone, the approximate location will be displayed and the AirPods headset will play sound to help the user find it. If the location of the lost headset is far away from the device, Find My will display the last approximate location of the device.
According to the latest test of Reddit netizens, when the user does not connect to AirPods for a period of time, the phone will prompt that the separation alarm function of AirPods has been suspended to save power. If you need to turn on this feature, please reconnect AirPods.
The reminder appeared in the latest iOS 15.1 developer preview Beta 4, but it is not clear how long Apple said recently.
