The presentation slides for Snapdragon 8 Gen1 were leaked, revealing the performance of Qualcomm’s advocated system-on-chip (SoC).
Features of Snapdragon 8 Gen1
The leaked Snapdragon 8 Gen1 presentation slide describes the SoC’s performance and improved power performance.
It also states that the image processing performance when shooting with a camera has been improved. The Snapdragon 8 Gen1 is equipped with an 18-bit image signal processor (ISP) that can capture 240 12 million images per second.
According to the slides released by VideoCardz, the Snapdragon 8 Gen1 seems to be 20% faster and 30% less power than the Snapdragon 888.
Also, the Snapdragon 8 Gen1 is equipped with a 4th generation Adreno GPU, which seems to be 30% faster and consume 25% less power than its predecessor.
The 5G modem integrated into the Snapdragon 8 Gen1 seems to be the Snapdragon X65 because it has a downlink speed of 10Gbps and supports millimeter waves.
Rumors about smartphones with Snapdragon 8 Gen1
The slides show that the Snapdragon 8 Gen1 can shoot 8K HDR video and at the same time shoot photos with a maximum resolution of 64 million pixels.
It is rumored that smartphones equipped with Snapdragon 8 Gen1 will also support Wi-Fi 6E, with a 4,500mAh battery and 65W charging as standard.
