Apple plans to allow third-party payments on the Korean App Store

It has been revealed that Apple is expected to allow more than in-house payments in the App Store in order to comply with the new regulations in South Korea.

Isn’t the Apple tax abolished?

Apple is poised to allow third-party payments as the new South Korean bill prohibits app stores from forcing in-house payments.

However, even if third-party payments are used, Apple is expected to charge a fee, albeit less than 30%.

Apple hasn’t said when it will start allowing third-party payments, but “we look forward to working with the Korea Communications Commission (KCC) and the developer community to provide solutions for Korean users. “I am doing it,” he said in a statement.

Google, which operates the Play Store, has also promised to offer third-party payments in South Korea in November.
