DXO said: “Huawei P40 Pro scored 85 points in our screen test, ranking high in the screen rankings, and its score is slightly higher than the Apple iPhone 11 Pro Max launched last year.”

DXO pointed out several shortcomings of the machine’s screen, such as “The screen display is too dark and looks uncomfortable”, “With the blue light filter enabled, its performance is only slightly better than the Apple iPhone 12 Pro” , “Outdoors, P40 Pro screen brightness is severely insufficient”, “Under the sun, the details of the darker part of the P40 Pro image are almost hard to distinguish.”

DXO said that the color performance of its still images is generally good. However, it really stands out because of its excellent performance in exercise tests. The mobile phone can control motion blur very well, and it can also play video instantly. However, its performance in touch is somewhat reluctant.

DXO conclusion

Although the Huawei P40 Pro can control movement well and the overall color is still acceptable, these advantages may not be enough to compensate for the phone’s aliasing artifacts, touch accuracy and smoothness, especially the phone’s The brightness setting is darker than the general default brightness. Insufficient screen brightness affects the legibility of the indoor and outdoor screen, and seriously affects the phone’s video score.
