Apple will launch a new generation of iPad Pro this year, the source said, the prototype supports wireless charging and MagSafe

Apple will launch a new generation of iPad Pro this year, the source said, the prototype supports wireless charging and MagSafe

Although the new iPad Pro is expected to support wireless charging, 9to5Mac recently reported that Apple may eventually abandon the glass back design after testing due to concerns about the device being fragile.

Sources familiar with Apple’s design plans note that Apple has developed an iPad Pro prototype with a larger glass Apple logo and wireless charging.

One of the prototypes reportedly supports MagSafe, which uses stronger magnets than the iPhone to prevent accidental damage and supports faster wireless charging than the iPhone’s MagSafe.

Given that Apple already has several prototypes in-house, it’s still unclear whether the iPad Pro with a glass back will be released, but it is rumored that the next-generation iPad Pro will feature a new design that supports wireless charging. The exact release date of the device is currently unknown.
