WinFuture has announced the expected selling price and specifications of the Sony WF-L900.
Rumors about the specifications of WF-L900
Sony is expected to hold a new music-related product launch event at 10:00 am on February 16, 2022, announcing the LinkBuds WF-L900.
The WF-L900 has a unique design without eartips, allowing you to hear external sounds through a 12mm diameter ring driver. In that case, it seems that this product is not the noise canceling earphone that has been rumored so far.
WinFuture explains that this allows you to talk without problems while listening to music.
The WF-L900 is equipped with the same Sony V1 chip as the WF-1000XM4, adopts DSEE, and seems to have a function to change the volume according to the surrounding sound.
It seems that the WF-L900 is also equipped with a function to reduce noise during calls. The earpiece weighs 4 grams on each side, and the drive time is expected to be extended by up to 5.5 hours with the built-in battery alone and 12 hours with the use of the charging case.
Expected selling price of WF-L900
About the price of WF-L900 WinFuture expects to be around 200 euros. In Germany, the WF-1000XM4 is priced at 279 euros, and in Japan it is priced at 33,000 yen including tax.
If the WF-L900 is released at the same exchange rate (about 106.5 yen), the selling price in Japan is expected to be about 23,000 yen including tax.
Sony’s new LinkBuds feature an _insane_ open design with a ring-shaped speaker driver, that has a hole in it. Full specs and info on these, launching soon priced at ~ 200 Euros: https://t.co/hQotqAMC7G
