It was announced that the Nintendo Switch Online app, which allows you to enjoy playing Nintendo Switch online more, will only work on iOS 14.0 and later versions with this summer’s update.
Requires iOS 14 or later
With “Nintendo Switch Online”, you can use services to enjoy online play more, such as game cooperation services, online friend confirmation, voice chat linked with games, and so on.
Compatible software for game linkage services includes “Animal Crossing: New Clothes Forest”, “Super Smash Bros. Smash Bros. SPECIAL”, and “Splatoon 2”.
Nintendo announced on social media that the operating environment of the app will change this summer.
Around the summer of 2022, we plan to update the iOS version of the “Nintendo Switch Online” app. This update will change the operating environment to “iOS version 14.0 or later”.
