Will Sony supply the image sensor and Alps Alpine will supply the lens drive motor?
Kuo says there are changes in the supply chain for camera modules for the iPhone 14 series.
According to him, Sony, Alps Alpine, LG Innotek, and Largan Precision will participate in the supply chain for manufacturing camera modules for the iPhone 14 series.
Of these, Sony is expected to supply a 48-megapixel image sensor for the wide-angle rear camera of the iPhone 14 Pro series, and Largan Precision is expected to supply an 8P (8 plastic lenses) lens.
In addition to the parts of both companies, Alps Alpine will supply the voice coil motor (VCM) for driving the lens in the front camera of the iPhone 14 series, and LG Innotek will assemble them to make a camera module.
