Beta 3 of iOS 16 was released to developers on July 6, local time, but beta 4 hasn’t been released yet. It has been pointed out that the latency in beta 3 is the longest since iOS 6.

According to Reddit user SpamSencer, it takes longer to get beta 4 on iOS 16 than any other version of the operating system in recent years. He publishes his own bar chart, but you can see that iOS 16 has the longest latency in beta 3 since iOS 6.

If you don’t reach beta 4 release within 27 days of local time, iOS 16 beta 3 will be the longest in history.
We don’t know exactly when beta 4 will be seeded by developers and public beta testers, but it’s likely to happen later this week.
It has been pointed out that iOS 16 development has not been as smooth as it has been in recent years, and that beta releases do not match the pattern of the year. Bloomberg’s Mark Garman, who has his own source within Apple, also previously said that the internal seeds are buggy and may be underdeveloped.
