It turns out that Instagram is currently testing for full-screen size, i.e. 16:9 aspect ratio images.
The company’s CEO, Adam Mosseri, made the announcement during his weekly “Ask Me Anything” session on Instagram.
Currently only 5:4 images can be posted
The current Instagram app only supports images with a 5:4 aspect ratio and all images are cropped to fit this size.
Mosseri said that Instagram now supports vertical videos, so it’s time for images to do the same.
Instagram subscription feature announced
Speaking of Instagram, recently, the “Instagram subscription function” that supports creators’ monetization has just been announced.
