There are only a few weeks until the release of the new iPhone 14 series on September 7th. While the tension is rising, one or the other leaker is now taking advantage of the moment to make “secret” information about the new iPhone flagship public. A Chinese leaker has now released exclusive footage on Twitter that is said to show the biggest design change to the iPhone 14 Pro.
iPhone 14 Pro: Images show “pill and hole” design
The rumor has been around for a long time that the Pro models of the new iPhone 14 should have a so-called “pill and hole-punch” design for the front camera system instead of the “notch”. The previous display cut-out should therefore give way to a pill-shaped and punched-hole-like look. Some recent images posted by Chinese Twitter user DuanRui may further support this claim. The photos show an allegedly genuine iPhone 14 Pro with said new design element, as the following tweet shows.

As always, the authenticity of the images cannot be clearly determined, which is why the recordings should be viewed with caution. However, should it actually happen that Apple gives the Pro models a new look, the usable display area would again be a bit larger and there would be more space for the symbols in the status bar.
We recently informed you that the battery percentage display, which was once superseded by the notch, is making a comeback with iOS 16. This could possibly be placed next to the battery icon again (as before) on the new iPhone 14 Pro devices. However, we will only find out the truth in about two weeks when Apple officially invites to the iPhone 14 keynote.
