A person known as an Apple connoisseur has given another name for the name of the Apple Watch for outdoor sports that Apple is expected to announce at an event early in the morning tomorrow.
Expected to be likely to be iPhone 14 Plus
John Gruber describes the name of the standard model of the iPhone 14 series equipped with a 6.7-inch display and the name of the robust model of Apple Watch in the blog “Daring Fireball”.
He expects that the 6.7-inch iPhone 14 standard model is more likely to be the iPhone 14 Plus than the originally rumored iPhone 14 Max.
“Max” is big, expensive and spec-wise
According to Mr. Gruber, the word “Max” at Apple does not simply mean “big”, but tends to be used for expensive and excellent specifications.
Also, Max is sometimes used in the sense of “more pro than pro” like the M1 Max chip, so it is difficult to think that the 6.7-inch standard model will be named iPhone 14 Max, and iPhone 14 Plus is appropriate. says Mr.
Is “Apple Watch Max” right for you?
On the other hand, when it comes to Apple Watch for outdoor sports and fitness, Gruber says the name ‘Apple Watch Pro’ doesn’t make sense. The reason is that the word “Pro” at Apple doesn’t have to mean “professional,” even if it means “excellent.”
Gruber continues, citing AirPods Pro as an example, and although AirPods Pro is a higher-spec model than AirPods, it is not a professional specification.
Therefore, Mr. Gruber cites “Apple Watch Max” as a candidate for a new name. He cites the “big and expensive” but non-professional AirPods Max as an example, saying that the Apple Watch Max would be a better name than the Apple Watch Pro.
